16"h x 12"w acrylic on 1-1/2" gallery wrap canvas, sides painted black.
Semi-gloss varnish.
Beneath the brilliant color, there is an underpainting with dark, vertical paint drips - they show through and add interest to the composition. Very loose and bristly brush strokes; some of the pigment was mixed right on the canvas. The top portion has some vertical palette knife texturing with dry brush painting across it. Southwest Aura #2 is the same with just minor variations. Buy the set - I will post it soon.
